This is with out query, the top land line telephone I have ever observed! Please appear at my other evaluations, you will see that I am NOT a paid reviewer to write what the manufacturer wants.
This phone does Every little thing! Sound is crystal clear. Both handsets and base unit have lit displays. Both have selectable ringer tones and volume. Each has independent "telephone books" which can be copied from the base unit to the handsets or vice versa. Each the base unit and handsets have speaker phones. The telephone books are super very easy to plan.
The answering process with date/day/time performs terrifically! You can select pre-recorded message or make your personal. The answering system capacity is 18 minutes or 64 messages. You can pick between 2 and 7 rings ahead of the answering technique engages.
I like that the base unit functions through energy outages.
I specially like the five "speed dial" buttons to telephone frequent pals or loved ones with just a single button. Superb!
Call blocking works properly.
Cordless handsets have superb range and use rechargeable AAA batteries (included). The handset cradle recharges the batteries. The cordless handsets light up (back-lit). You can access the answering machine by way of the cordless handsets. The cordless handsets have speaker phones and headset jack. They have a clip so you can put on it on your belt.
It has a "handset locator".
It supports English and Espahol. Instruction manual is properly written and easy to use.
It even has an "alarm clock" feature.
I have not found a superior land line telephone! Strongly suggest!

I was torn whether to rate this four or five stars. For my uncomplicated desires, it is surely a 5, but it does have some quirks.
Fine:
Excellent sound superior. Corded base for power outages. Speakerphone (which performs amazing) on all components, each base and handsets. Access to answering process messages from all components. Functions as an intercom (and extremely nicely, too). 100-number telephone book, which can be copied between units either in total or 1 entry at a time, and nine phone quantity groups that you can give custom names. Five-quantity speedy dial buttons on base. Big, simple-to-use buttons. Utilizes rechargeable AA's (I consider - could have been AAA's - normal batteries, anyway) rather of the highly-priced proprietary kind. Supports up to six handsets.
Not so fine:
Some menus confusing. Direct-access to functions using "" and a numeric code a joke, to me - I want to navigate to a function making use of an intuitive menu, not appear up a code in the user manual. On base unit, LCD contrast is not high adequate to read display without backlight (at least in the location we've got it). Does not have a memo function as our preceding (but substantially lower high-quality) system did, so I am in the market place for a fridge magnet recorder thingie now - which is just fine by my husband, as he hated my leaving messages to myself on the answering machine....! - ) Can't copy telephone number groups between units - if you use that function, you'd have to name the groups on every unit and place each telephone quantity in a group individually.
