I purchased this telephone due to the fact I needed a telephone that would give me much better range than my panasonic five.8gHz model with out the interference with my laptop or computer gear. I live in a fairly good sized property, ( three stories, 6000 sq. ft., lots of steel as well). My five.8 gHz model did not fairly cut it for range from one particular side of the residence to the other. I truly began seeing concerns when they installed my wireless network for the home. I gave this set as a gift to my parents and they honestly like them. They have a big household and had complications with other phones cutting out or obtaining static. Not these phones! Plus these phones have some nice attributes that make life a tiny much easier for my parents, like the light up display, handsfree talking, the intercom, talking caller id, speakerphone and the message program. Great range, clear sound and lots of characteristics make this a definitely great phone set!
Note: My only regret is that I wish I had bought the Panasonic set with 5 handsets. Two much more handsets would have been best. It would have been less expensive to invest in the set with five than to get two additional handsets now. Some thing to keep in thoughts.
LIKES
- Terrific range Clear sound. A big house, a substantial yard, deck, shop and garage - the phones do not cut out or get static. The range extender performs truly effectively.
- Lengthy battery charge. no issue with low battery, even when talking over 2 hours or leaving the telephone of it's base a handful of days.
- The Keypad lights up as soon as the telephone is removed from the base or when a button is pressed. Very easy to see the numbers.

- Talking CALLER ID: A female voice reads the caller id name out loud amongst rings. It is a text reader so does not frequently pronounce the name correctly. Sometimes it really is amusing to hear her attempt to pronounce a name. You can turn this feature off. My parents like it, though.
- Handset Name: We gave each handset a name according to the area it really is in: KITCHEN, SHOP, BEDROOM. It allows 10 letters max in the name.

Would like to be able to rename the phonebook groups. Anything like Close friends, Family, Physicians, and so on.

We are all impressed with this phone system - Superior job Panasonic! I think I will get myself a set, as well!
UPDATE 1-four-12 Happy to say that these phones are nevertheless working well. The battery lasts a lengthy time, and think you me, my mom can talk for hours on the telephone (bless her heart) so these phones have got a work out. Also, there have been no complications with delayed rings or anything like that.
