ORIGINAL Assessment: I was moving to a new place and did not even want a land line, but then realized I also didn't want to give absolutely everyone in the globe my cell . So just believed I'd acquire a cheap household phone. But please, no matter whether it's inexpensive or not I type of count on a telephone to perform well. The sound top quality on this fades in and out. One particular second it sounds like you happen to be talking to an individual in the middle of a hurricane and the subsequent second it's OK. I have owned a great number of Vtech phones over the years and have been frequently pleased with the product. I purchased this one for a low price at the local warehouse club and I am quite disappointed with it. 1st and foremost, the buttons are placed in such a way that every single time I try to rest the phone on my shoulder I either hang up on the individual I am talking to, or I kill them with the beeps of hitting redial with my cheek. It is impossible to speak on this telephone without holding it in your hand a secure distance from your cheek. I also think the read out is poorly lit and is quite small which tends to make reading caller ID problematic. I recommend spending a few added dollars and gaining a a lot far better superior telephone.
